Hey all! I never had one on RPC, but I feel like I've known you all for long enough now. xD Like everyone else, I'll throw up random thoughts/ideas/rants/whatever-else up here just because.

To start things off, I can't thank you guys enough for helping me out here. I'm flattered and honored that you've decided to join me here, and I'm glad I was able to get something created before the orginal rpc become inaccessible. as it stands now, I can kinda post on the shoutbox to the old link, but the new one doesn't work at all. maybe he re-changed his mind?

Speaking of RPC, if you guys see Rush floating around... he's the reason I joined RPC in the first place about a year ago. *-* He frequents the chats and never actually joined the talk community, but he decided while we were at the con over the weekend to go ahead and join my little forum here. xD

I've had a few ideas lately. I haven't *actually* posted an RP up before, so it'd be the first for me in our little rpc community.

The idea that's been on the mind the most lately is a Harry Potter-based RP. Would anyone else be interested? I know I've talked to ze_Moon about it before, but I honestly don't know about the rest of you. I grew up with the series, so it's near and dear. Work permitting, I would ideally like to construct an OOC page with the sheet and sign-ups and all of that. I was just trying to get a feel for how many of you might be interested.

Side note Related to HP: if you ever wondered what house you'd be placed in, this is by far the best quiz I've found. It's LONG. 126 questions I believe, but I think that adds to the accuracy. As a side bonus, rather than being completely black-and-white, it'll tell you what percentage you were for each ... so if you're close to being tied between two, you'll be able to see that. Answer honestly and it can be sort-of surprising what you find out! If my RP becomes a thing due to potential interest, I thought it'd be fun to make a character based off the resulting house that I got~

I will say, I'm not a HUGE fan of HP, or J.K. Rowling. I'm more of a Pratchett fan, really. But it'd be your first forum RP. And also, I've recently read Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality. So yeah. I just might.

Yaaay! I'm glad there's interest. That's encouraging. XD

Ravenclaw was my second highest. It's not like you have to be some scheming genius to be in Ravenclaw... just interested in learning with a creative mind, and they're always introverts. And emotionally stable, for the most part. xD They tend to be rational and avoid conflict, rather than seek it out.

In fact, especially given what we do here, I think that the majority of members here are probably high with Ravenclaw.

Movies are totally fine. I never read the books either because the writing of the first one was so terrible, I couldn't bring myself to continue. Now that it's 15 years later, or whatever, I might try again for the hell of it. XD

I heard you guys talking in the shoutbox about a fairy tale rp? Were you referring to an rp that you guys already have going, or would this be a group thingy?

I was part of an rp group on DA awhile ago where everyone's character was a prince/princess/prominent-figure from an already existing fairy tale (not the Disney versions, but like ..the legit ones >.>), and they all ended up getting sent to/stuck in one central kingdom. It was a lot of fun while it lasted~ and it was another idea I was thinking about recycling up here, but ... if you guys were planning something sorta like that already, then woot. XD

It depends if we go over 50k pageviews a month or not. XD I signed up for the cheapest subscription to start with, so I'll let you guys know a month from now how it pans out.

Ultimately it's not *horribly* expensive on a month to month basis, it's just something I'll need to keep up with. As it stands now, I can break it down to say I officially work one-two hours a month for RPC. XD
