Moon and Silver like this

As a preface and semi-dedication, I would like to thank William Shakespeare for the masterpiece that is Macbeth. Though I drew inspiration from many stories across several brands of literature, I don't know if I will ever fall in love with another work quite like I did with the story of Macbeth. Being an avid fan of the Middle Ages, it was only fitting that I write in said time period. Additionally, it should be said that I took creative liberty in sculpting the fundamental culture in all three stories I plan on creating from behaviors and characteristics from countries such as England, Scotland, and Denmark spanning from the fifth to the fifteenth century. While I initially hesitated to blend these separate cultures, I found it most appealing to stitch together a hand-me-down society with threads from various countries as opposed to strictly following in history's footsteps with one civilization's values. Furthermore, let it be known that in no way is this an attempt at outlining an accurate nor chronological timeline of history. Already, I have plans for devious happenings involving events and weapons that I saw aesthetically fitting although they may be ahead of their time. Alas, the rich ornateness of Europe's medieval chapter provokes sinister and thoughtful ideas about potential cruelties, romances, and sufferings that were left unsaid in history books. However, the holes existing in history are only left to encourage the minds of those able and willing to fill them in, or so I'd like to believe.
(Also, an extra kiss to John Kramer, more famously known as Jigsaw, for the extra gruesome torture and killing methods. The beauty of the reverse beartrap is incomparable, and I can only ever strive to fictionally create a more anxiety-inducing and truly horrific tool of torture.) XX
Now then, allow me to render a disturbing representation of what I'd like to believe took place during an era of overzealous tyrants, merciless pillaging, charlatan doctors, and constant famine. This story all starts with a jester, a potato, and strawberry jam.
The Skeleton: To simply put it, three stories are simultaneously running with a jester being the protagonist of each. Each jester is attached to one of the three primary kingdoms existing within this universe.
[The names of each story reflect important moments that happen within the stories themselves. For instance, in Mocking, the primary method of joke-telling is mockery. Additionally, a form of mockery will be used in a crucial scene to really push the conflict. Get it?]
Mocking is the first story upon which this entire complex idea originated. Tully (to͞o-Lee), dressed in the colors mustard and violet, is challenged with internal conflicts of depression and suicide as well as external struggles with his royal family. His mental health is constantly under fire and is never truly cared for. As he is the kingdom's supposed jovial spirit, Tully's constant depressive thoughts tend to rally with tenancies of suicidal thoughts as he has no outlet outside of his own head. Externally, he struggles to form sincere connections with others. Of course, until the prince of his kingdom, Cedric falls in love with him. As a way to diversify and shake the traditions, having the heir of lead story kingdom come out as gay not only allows for representation, but it also pushes the royal family conflict. The king cannot be homosexual otherwise the bloodline will die off. and a new king will be take over. (Offhandedly, I would like to write a chapter or two about a fraudulent doctor who discovers the plague of "homosexuality" within the village as a way to poke fun at the homophobic tenancies of my own surroundings. Of course, that is not how I want the Prince to be outed necessarily. But I digress). That is the first story in a nutshell. Probably volume one if I had to guess although the chapters will hopefully be a bit longer than a traditional comic book. There are several underlying themes I would really love to include, and eventually, I will get to detailing some of those. But for now, I will keep it rather basic. Similarly, there are several lines of dialogue as well as one very crucial monologue I will hopefully get out soon. Essentially, Tully is a depressed jester entertaining a ditsy King. And Cedric, the prince, is his admirer. Cute.
Joking is the second, more gory story in this collection. Kip, who dresses in maroon and olive, undoubtedly despises his king. Out of all three jesters, it is suffice to say that Kip creates the most chaos and bloodshed though I would like him to be illustrated opposite of that description. To be frank, Kip is the most violent and unashamed. After a rather tense scene in the courtroom, Kip finds himself in the dungeon, sentenced to only a single night after taking a joke a bit too far. While having a sleepover in jail, Kip acquaints himself with the Death Bringer (A.K.A the executioner). While I didn't originally plan to have multitudes of homosexual characters, it honestly just couldn't be helped at one point. This particular jester uses sex and seduction tactics to gain knowledge and leverage against several important figureheads in his kingdom. And although it is incredibly superficial at first, Kip will ultimately end up with the Death Bringer. As a sadist himself, it really is no surprise to match this tiny chaotic evil twerp with Paul Bunion's older, malicious brother. In a sense, Kip is the brains of massacre, and DB is the brawn. While I don't the executioner's lack of voice frees him from consequence, the jester really pushes from violence. I like the idea of the duo pretty much murdering the entire kingdom. Whether that includes an unstoppable, raging fire. Or perhaps a disease outbreak. I don't know. But I want this third of the collection to primarily focus on the gruesome. Similarly to Mocking, I want pretty much the same underlying themes to be running within this story as well. Additionally, because all three stories are all so closely connected, events in one kingdom will have an impact on the other two. Basically, Kip is a sadistic jester out for blood. He meets the Death Bringer (DB), and it's love at first execution witnessing. The two of them literally kill everything. Cute,
Mimicking is the final story. Pocket models a contract of navy and papaya. Pocket loves literally anyone other than the king. The kingdom he lives in is run by an absolute ass. This is where tyranny and famine are most prevalent. Pocket will mostly face external conflicts having to do with dethroning his king in hopes the eldest nephew taking over the kingdom. However, there's also a twist to the original plan. Eventually, having lived in both the village and kingdom, Pocket is convinced he'd make a better king than any current royal. Because the jester are entertainers and not actual royalty themselves, they play this middle man which is connected to both the penniless and the regal. Out of the three jesters, I would advocate that Pocket is the most sincere and honorable although there are certain underhanded interactions that will take place. For the most part, I would like to describe Pocket has one of the most wholesome characters in the entire collection as a whole. No love story will be included in this one per say. Perhaps a queen, but there isn't much lust nor comfort to give to Pocket. Unlike Tully and Kip, this jester displays much compassion for everyone except the king basically. So while the other two jesters need to be given love, Pocket needs to give more love out. (You feel me?) Because all the stories will have similar themes and tragedies, I think it's important to separate the jesters when it comes to their emotional, mental, and physical desires and needs. In essence, Pocket hates the king, and so does everyone else. Pocket agrees to help get rid of him and discovers that he wants to help his kingdom prosper instead. Cute.
Some Notes: I do not plan on this being a roleplay. And if you thought that's what I was outlining, I'm sorry to disappoint. This is actually the idea for my webcomic. I've been daydreaming about this idea for a few months now, and tonight is the first night I'm actually writing it down. I've been practically dead for the past like three years, and that includes a lot of my fictional writing as well. The last roleplay I participated in was a PM, and it's been several months. Like SEVERAL. Anyway, I mainly just needed to write at least the vague ideas down. Tully is honestly my child, and I will fucking bitch slap anyone who mistreats him. He's how the whole idea even formulated because the idea of a depressed jester is funny. It's ironic, but I think it's also very true that some of the funniest people in the whole world face the hardest internal struggles. Anyway, I'm sorry if I got anyone's hopes up. No, I'm not entirely dead. Yes, I miss roleplaying like crazy. But roleplaying doesn't get my scholarships UNFORTUNATELY.
I'll be adding character sheets to this thread as well as more outline things for specific chapters hopefully. Possibly some doodles just because.
It's mainly just one big archive for a very intricate story that I'm not even sure I can write. Aha-haha. We love optimism.
Thanks for reading, buddies. XX
